UM Alumni Association Council

The Alumni Council of the University of Miami Alumni Association is the representative body for the association and the more than 181,500 living alumni of the University of Miami. Service on the Council is on a volunteer basis and demonstrates the highest level of commitment from our alumni community. Members are ambassadors for the University of Miami and critical leaders in helping the Alumni Association implement strategic initiatives.

Membership consists of the President and President-Elect of each affiliate group including ’Canes Communities, special interest groups, and school/college associations.  The Alumni Council as a whole is responsible for electing directors, revoking the charters of affiliate groups, and adopting the constitution and amendments thereto.
