Career Expos and Fairs

Offered throughout the academic year, these free events, open to UM students and alumni only, are an excellent way to meet with employers and submit your resume for jobs. Career Expo is the largest career event held each semester. Open to all majors & degree levels, over 200 employers from a variety of industries attend this event. Get more information.

The Launch Pad

The Launch Pad serves both beginning and experienced entrepreneurs, assisting with opportunity recognition, feasibility assessment, and strategy for starting and growing companies or non-profits. We specialize in just-in-time delivery of resources – what you need, when you need it. Toppel Career Center

Toppel Career Center offers several alumni career service resources through, a web-based career management system, and the Launch Pad, a campus resource for entrepreneurs and inventors.

Eligibility for Services

UM alumni have full access to all Toppel services with the exception of Individual Career Advising. Individual Career Advising is free for alumni up to one year after graduation.

After one year, there is a fee of $100 (includes five sessions), or $25 fee for a single one-hour individual advising session.

U in the City

U in the City provides employers and alumni an evening to meet and connect outside of traditional recruiting environments. These once a month networking nights happen in a variety of cities, both locally in south Florida and nationwide. The entrance fee is $15 for a complimentary cocktail, appetizers, and a night of music, giveaways, networking and connecting! Learn more and see upcoming events.
