Career networking, or "professional" networking, involves using contacts to assist with a job search, achieve career goals, find an employee, or learn more about your field, or another field you'd like to work in. The UM Alumni Association is proud to offer virtual, regional and international networking opportunities to alumni and students.

UM Mentor Network 

In partnership with the Toppel Career Center on campus, the UM Alumni Association is excited to announce the launch of the University of Miami Mentor Network!  

Using a tool called CampusTap, alumni are now able to create virtual mentoring partnerships with each otherCampusTap helps facilitate the mentoring process by allowing mentors and mentees greater flexibility and control in managing and creating a professional relationship via their unique online mentoring platform. 

Alumni can sign up for their mentoring account here. Students will be invited to join the mentor network in summer 2018.  

Networking Events 

The UM Alumni Association and Toppel Career Center collaborate to offer alumni a variety of networking events. These events provide alumni with opportunities to sharpen career-related skills, meet mentors from various industries, learn about trending career topics, network with fellow 'Canes, and acquire knowledge about current and future employment trends. Networking events are offered regionally, internationally and online.
