Mission

Our mission is to cultivate a lifelong bond between former student leaders and the University of Miami. Through meaningful engagement, mentorship, and service, we aim to strengthen our alumni network, inspire volunteerism, and support the next generation of Canes. By fostering connections, expanding opportunities, and championing philanthropic initiatives, we empower our community to make a lasting impact on the University and beyond.

Who We Are

The Alumni Student Leaders group is a vibrant network of former University of Miami student leaders who are passionate about staying connected and giving back. Our primary focus is engaging alumni who previously served on the executive boards of historically prominent student organizations, recognizing their exceptional leadership and lasting impact on campus life.

These individuals bring a wealth of experience, dedication, and school spirit—making them ideal candidates for continued involvement with the U. While we prioritize outreach to these groups, we warmly welcome all former student leaders who share our commitment to engagement, mentorship, and support for the University community.

Together, we are building a powerful alumni network that strengthens connections, supports current students, and champions the future of the University of Miami.

Ways to Get Involved

• Attend Our Events: Reconnect with fellow alumni at on-campus events—or join us for engaging virtual events throughout the year.
• Engage Locally: Participate in regional Canes Community programming and volunteer-led events near you to strengthen your local alumni network.
• Volunteer Your Time: Make an impact by volunteering in Canes Communities, serving on national boards, or contributing your expertise through one of our Alumni Student Leaders committees.
• Connect Digitally: Stay connected through our LinkedIn group and other University-supported digital platforms that foster meaningful alumni engagement and interaction.
• Mentor Current Students: Support the next generation of Canes by joining Cane2Cane, the university’s mentorship platform, and guiding students on their academic and professional journeys.
